Forever is now...

It was the most amazing day ever.

Having most of our friends and family gathered around us was the best feeling.

Seeing people laugh as much as we did was awesome.

And hearing from you, my husband, that all the hard work was worth it because it was

the best day of your life,

brought tears to my eyes.

Life as the two of us has just begun; I am so excited.

Yummy light at the end of a rainy day. Séance de couple avec Aline et Roberto

Hello, bonsoir,

I took the train up to Bienne to meet Aline and Roberto for their engagement session. I had met them at a wedding I shot last October. Cool that they remembered me!
The good thing about taking public transport, is that I got to see a bit of the town, and noticed some good spots that I could take my couple to later on (for example that old cart full of watermelons!). Aline and Roberto also took me to some of their favorite spots. Roberto actually proposed at the fountain you will see below. The view from the top of the mountain was gorgeous and after riding around on the bikes for 2 hours, we stopped to have a beer and some chips. Great way to end the photo shoot and start the evening :)

These two are getting married in October. I can't wait; I am sure we're going to have as much fun as we did last Friday.

p.s. If you look carefully, you'll see me in one of the photos :) It was a trial shot but I kind of like it.

 Didn't I say "yummy light"?!? Must be one of my favorites!

On a personal note, our wedding is 2 weeks and 3 days away!!!

holy cow! I can't wait, I am so excited!!!
It's going to be amazing, simply because I am marrying the man of my dreams, my soul mate. I don't know how it's possible, but I seem to be falling more and more in love with him everyday... 
Yeah, cheesy I know, but I'm a romantic, and that's why I like weddings so much. Can't help it :)


I also booked my first 2011 wedding - for February. The future bride is starting her wedding planning business, and guess who she is going to be helping first?! Haha, you guess it. It will be such a help having her around in the days prior: last-minute details, setting-up, steering people and moving flowers from location to location. I highly recommend anyone to hire someone, at the least the day of, so you can TOTALLY relax, and your best friend/bridesmaids/family can too!
I will keep you in the loop as to when her business is up and running.

Wow!! Mon mariage est dans moins de 3 semaines!!! Oui, le mien, le nôtre, enfin. Je me réjouis trop; ça va être une journée magnifique, simplement parce que je vais épouser l'homme de mes rêves. Oui, très kitsch la formule, mais qu'est-ce que vous voulez?! Je suis une grande romantique; c'est pour ça que j'adore photographier les mariages!
Petit conseil aux futurs mariés: Ne tentez pas de déménager, pannifier un mariage, et travailler à 100% à côté. Maux de tête guarantis. Mais bon on survit quand même, ne vous inquiétez pas (j'en suis la preuve) :)
Surtout grâce à un petit coup de pouce très bienvenu: une cliente (qui sera la mariée en février 2011) ouvre son entreprise de "wedding planning" et devinez qui elle va aider pour son premier mariage?!? J'anticipe que la déco et les préparatifs seront fait plus rapidement avec son aide, et sa présence le jour J nous permettera à tous d'être plus relax.
Il est vrai que c'est un service peut-être peu connu ici en Suisse, alors que les Wedding Planners sont de plus en plus prisés au Canada et aux USA. C'est un investissement qui se trancrit par un gain de temps formidable pour les futurs mariés. Le Wedding Planner fait toutes vos recherches, contacte les prestataires, compare les offres, vous aide à organiser la journée, et veille au bon déroulement des opérations le jour J.
Je vous tiendrai donc au courant de l'évolution de son business, car c'est un service qui peut vraiment faire la différence.

This little guy is a real cutie pie! It doesn't seem like it on the photos, but he only gave 2-3 minutes of modeling time before he got hungry and cranky again. It was really nice to see his parents, Jessica and Diego again (belly shots were taken in April), because they're awesome people!
